Church Choir and Music

Copford Church Choir welcomes people of all ages to join them.  Practices are held every Wednesday between 7 & 8pm at Easthorpe Church Hall and on the 4th Sunday at 5.30pm in the Church.  The choir sing at the 11am Sung Eucharist on the 2nd Sunday of the month, and at Choral Evensong on the 4th Sunday of the month at 6pm.

We sing a wide range of music, both traditional and contemporary, and still maintain four part harmony.  We generally sing an Anthem at Evensong and sing something while the congregation receive communion.  At the Sung Eucharist on the 2nd Sunday of the month, we use the Mass of St Thomas Setting by David Thorne.

The Choir is usually led by the organ, although sometimes we use piano if it is felt more appropriate.

As well as Sunday Services, the Choir also sing for Weddings, and when requested, sing Anthems during the signing of the registers.

At the All Age Service the music is led by guitars and other instruments and is very informal.
