COPFORD CHURCH PRESENTS: Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol” – performed by Anthony Roberts, Director of the Colchester Arts Centre.
Sat, 8th December 2018, 7.30 till 9.30pm
Come and hear this classic story performed as Charles Dickens originally intended it. What Christmas would be complete without this wonderful story?
Copford Church at Christmas time is the perfect setting for this evening of entertainment, where Anthony Roberts will bring the characters to life with his colourful narration and with the delightful piano accompaniment of Jamie Cunliffe. (Suitable for ages 10 years and above!).
Anthony is extremely talented and a real character. He introduces the event and then keeps everyone engaged in the story. Amazingly it’s all done from memory. His delivery and the candlelit setting will make it a memorable and enjoyable occasion in the lead up to Christmas.
The performance is in two halves, with a refreshment break in the middle. There will be mulled wine, mince pies and a selection of other delicious home-baked goodies for you to enjoy. Donations for refreshments would be very welcome.

MICE IN THE CHURCHYARD
The Mice In The Churchyard is not the story of Copford Church. It is the story of a local author, working with the residents of Copford, to help secure this Church’s future for generations to come. Kes has written this wonderful picture book for love, not money, and has waived his author fees and has very generously said that any royalties due to him will be donated to the church fund. The residents of Copford and Copford Church are much in his debt.
All of the cats mentioned in this story are, or have been, whiskered residents of the parish. All of the two-legged characters in the story are long gone, but forever respected residents of the graveyard. The book has been beautifully illustrated by Sally Anne Lambert.
If you would like to order a copy of this book at £6.99 each (excl. P&P), please email Anne Whistler at email@example.com . If you would like a signed copy, with your own dedication included, this can be arranged at no extra charge! This would make an ideal Christmas or birthday present for children and adults alike.
